Nuclear to change Wyoming’s energy relationships, UW experts say

EMA Member Tara Righetti said the vision of places like the University of Wyoming’s Nuclear Energy Research Center, of which she is the co-director, is to create zero-emission industrial hubs. She said Wyoming has the potential to be a hub and leader in decarbonizing both the energy and industrial sectors, adding the industrial sector to the conversation because, even if Wyoming continues to prioritize non-renewable energy, nuclear can mitigate the emissions produced through industrial processes.
